The saying 'too many cooks spoil the broth'
was proved wrong when Rupa Bajaj [wife of Bajaj Auto head
Rahul Bajaj] launched Rashmi Uday Singh's MID-DAY Good
Food Guide to Pune at the Empress Gardens on Sunday.
Choicest of dishes prepared by the cooks from the city
were served to a gathering of eminent personalities from
Pune and Mumbai.
Connoisseurs who were present include Industrialist Rahul
Bajaj, Nana Chudasama, police commissioner K K Kashyap,
former district collector Vijay Kumar Gautam, chairman
of MID-DAY Publications Khalid Ansari and Sullajja Firodia-Motwani,
In the perfect setting of the Empress Garden, the evening
was a one-of-a-kind gourmet night with celebration enjoying
a culinary feast served by 14 of the city's best restaurants
and swinging to the tunes of the Lambada band, enjoying
a traditional Rajasthani dance. The event also coincided
with Pune MID-DAY'S third anniversary. The book will also
be available through select outlets in Mumbai.
